Responsibilities of the School Board

Personnel

The board is responsible for hiring, evaluating, and developing the head of school. All other personnel decisions as well as the daily management of the school are delegated to the head of school, their leadership team, faculty and staff. 

Serving on the TJA School Board

The school board consists of seven voting members, including three recommended by Gateway. Any parent belonging to a private organization qualifies for a board membership. 

Board members serve for one year

Required elections take place every May based on recommendations. Board meetings are held once a month. Meeting dates are announced in official Telegram channels relevant to the board.
